Suzy Bae Talks Life After 'Start Up' + Suprising Dreams Beyond Acting and Singing

"Start Up" is truly one of those series that made its main cast household names, if they were not popular in the past enough. The show was one of the bright spots of 2020 for many across the globe when the world was hit by a pandemic, so the cast members practically experienced a growth spurt in their fame. Suzy Bae is a prime example.

Now that the show is over, Suzy Bae revealed that she is taking some well-deserved rest and already planning a future that does not just revolve around acting or singing.

The actress recently graced the cover of Harper's Bazaar, and she looked positively mesmerizing. But it is the interview accompanying her pictorial for Dior that was even more memorable. She talked a lot about what she is presently doing and planning.

Life After "Start-Up" for Suzy Bae

According to the actress, she has truly been enjoying her break since the conclusion of tvN's "Start-Up." This means just resting and doing technically nothing on the work front. She's enjoying the fact that she is not worried about anything for the time being and just staying at her home cleaning and organizing. Given how hectic her schedule was, this perfectly understandable.

She revealed that she had been a workaholic for so long that she never had much downtime in the past. Instead, whenever she had free time, she filled it up with overthinking and worrying.

She is one of those who could not stand having free time, she confessed. If she is not working all the time and given some time to rest, she'd be anxious. But after "Start-Up" is over, she realized that taking a break is essential after all.

The actress realized that taking a break just meant she could perform better the next time. This is why although cleaning and organizing may sound mundane to regular people, they have become quite joyful tasks for her. These tasks reportedly bring unexplainable happiness to her.

"When I look at the space that's become spotless after cleaning or the plants that are growing well through my care, I feel an abundance of happiness I didn't feel before," she said.

Suzy Bae Plans of Going Beyond Acting and Singing?

Suzy Bae revealed that her dreams are actually very varied. They are not limited to only acting or singing.

She said she wants to design a bag for Dior too and test her design out.

She is quite serious about this dream because she confessed to having already drawn her bag design in mind. If the design truly becomes a reality, she will already be happy regardless of whether the bags sell or not. If they do not sell, she's willing to buy them herself.

It is in this interview too, that she revealed that her skills include drawing and that she recently took up the hobby of digital drawing. Apart from drawing, she also loves playing the electric guitar. The actress said she only taught herself through YouTube. The lessons were quite effective, though, because when she finally decided to get some formal lessons, the teacher was quite impressed with her deep knowledge of the musical instrument already.

She has no qualms about turning this hobby into a lucrative career beyond acting as well.

She said that she already has plans to release a full album. She is already starting as early as now to collect practice pieces bit by bit. Once they are compiled into an album, she will be dropping it to the market, regardless of how long it takes. A former member of the girl group Miss A under JYP Entertainment and a known singer, this inclination towards another area of making music is not that surprising.
