Months after he was recognized in the drama "True Beauty," Hwang In Yeop already received tremendous support from overseas fans, which led him to have his first-ever fanmeet.

July 3 marks Hwang In Yeop's first global fanmeeting. Since there are travel protocols, the event happened online. Even though the international fans are miles away from the actor, they were able to show their love and support by participating in such a memorable event in Hwang In Yeop's journey as an artist.

"Magazine H: HI-high VOL.1" was a special time for Hwang In Yeop and his fans around the world to be able to connect and spend time with each other, even if it's just through screens. "HIYLIY" is the official fandom name of Hwang In Yeop.

HIYLIYs from Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines attended the virtual fanmeet. Hwang In Yeop's gain popularity in these countries through his dramas "18 Again" and "True Beauty."

The actor appeared with excitement as it was his first fan meeting in his life. The segment "Scene Talk" made the event more interactive. It is where Hwang In Yeop shared and talked about the behind-the-scenes stories of his previous drama roles.

There was a scene in "True Beauty" where Hwang In Yeop is funnily dancing with the song "Okey Dokey," and it made a big impression on the K-drama viewers. And to reminisce about the scene, Hwang In Yeop gracefully danced again with "Okey Dokey," which entertained the fans.

Hwang In Yeop Got Emotional from the Surprised Video Greetings Prepared by "HIYLIYs"

With almost an hour of communicating and spending quality time with the fans, Hwang In Yeop got emotional from the surprise video that the "HIYLIYs" prepared for him. He thanked all his fans for the genuine support that they keep on showing in every step of his journey.

Meanwhile, after the online event, some fans had the opportunity to have a one on one talk with Hwang In Yeop. A lucky Filipina fan unexpectedly got a "Bisaya" response from the actor. The Filipina fan praised Hwang In Yeop's good-looking face and explained that "Gwapo" is handsome in Filipino, and she was surprised when Hwang In Yeop called her "Gwapa," a Bisaya word for beautiful.

Hwang In Yeop once lived and studied in the Philippines before he made his acting debut in Korea.
