On July 23, the KBS' 2021 star-packed idol drama 'Imitation' based on the webtoon of the same name written by Park Kyung Ran revolved around the stories of South Korean Kpop idols, both underrated and well-known, in the industry has finally closed its curtains.
'Imitation' Final Broadcast Earns 1.2 Percent Nationwide Viewership
The idol drama 'Imitation' aired its final episode, enjoying a slight rise in viewership from its previous episodes.
'Imitation' has been receiving low ratings throughout its run since May, the final episode earned an average nationwide rating of 1.2 percent, adding an increase from its 0.5 percent rating from its preceding episode.
Though not a huge figure, the finale's ratings came close to the drama's 1.3 percent from June.

'Imitation' cast finally says goodbye to their work which they worked hard for in six months.
Model and actress Jung Ji So, who played the role of Lee Ma Ha, who worked so hard for the drama, expressed her happiness and gratitude to the viewers of 'Imitation', "It's a project I'll never forget."
U-KISS' Lee Jun Young played the top idol Kwon Ryok thanked the viewers who loved 'Imitation' from the pilot episode up to its finale, "From the very beginning to these final comments, I was happy thanks to 'Imitation' and my co-stars, staff, and directors."

T-ARA member Jiyeon, who took on the role of the successful solo artist LA RIMA expressed her regret that the drama has come to its end. She shared that 'Imitation' reminded her of the times when she stood and performed on stage as T-ARA's Jiyeon. "Thank you for loving 'Imitation'."
ATEEZ's Yunho, who took the role of boy group member Yoo Jin, made his debut with 'Imitation'. He expressed his love and gratitude to those who watched the drama. Yunho also shared that he gained many exciting experiences and precious memories while filming the drama. He also thanked his writers, co-stars, as well as the production team, who guided him in his acting pursuit. "Thank you to those who cheered on Yoo Jin. SF9's Hwiyoung who played Lee Hyun shared how grateful he is to act with stars he used to look up to, and also thanked the directors and 'Imitation' production team. I was lucky just to be able to do my first drama with such great people. Thank you to those who loved 'Imitation'. Please look forward to my future activities."
Former PRISTIN and I.O.I. member Im Nayoung who played the role of Tea Party's visual Hyun Ji shared that filming 'Imitation' was fun and healing. "Thank you to all the actors, staff, and 'Imitation' viewers who gave me the chance to make unforgettable memories as Hyun Ji."
Danny Ahn of g.o.d, who landed the role of Tea Party's CEO Ji Hak shared his doubts about himself while preparing for the role for it was a turning point for him, "My doubts turned into certainties while filming the drama. I want to thank the directors, writer, and the production staff who helped me grow. For all the people who are going through something, I hope that Ji Hak was able to give all of you a bit of comfort."
Kim Minseo, who played vocalist Yoo Ri Ah, shared that 'Imitation' gained her a lot of appreciation for her friend who she worked with. "Tea Party, I love you. Thank you to the viewers who cheered us on. To thank my co-stars, director, writer, and the production staff, I'll miss you all so much."
