‘The Road’ Episode 5 Sees Slightly Lower Ratings, Kim Hye Eun Displays Flexible Acting Skills + Episode 6 Spoilers
tvN's newest Wednesday and Thursday mystery thriller drama "The Road" (also known as "Tragedy of One") starring actors Ji Jin Hee, Yoon Se Ah, Kim Hye Eun, and Kim Sung Soo recently aired its fifth episode, which plummeted lower than its previous episodes.
However, there was a silver lining as "Itaewon Class" Kim Hye Eun, who is currently playing the role of news anchor Cha Seo Yeong, displayed her charismatic and flexible acting skills, which left a great impression on the viewers.
'The Road' Episode 5 Viewership Rating Plummets to its New Low Record
During the drama's broadcast on August 18, "The Road" viewership ratings plummeted and reached their new low record.
The fifth episode of tvN's "The Road" recorded an average viewership rating of 1.9%, which is slightly lower than 3.2% during its fourth episode.

"The Road" started with a 3.3% viewership rating during its pilot release and maintained the ratings between 2% to 3% until its fourth episode.
The slight drop of ratings in the fifth episode concerned and attracted attention from many. Despite the low ratings, the production team of the mystery thriller drama series hopes to see a higher rating in its succeeding episodes.
Kim Hye Eun Displays Powerful Performance in 'The Road'
Actress Kim Hye Eun proved herself worthy as one of the talented actresses in the television industry after starring in several A-lister dramas "Itaewon Class," "Clean with Passion For Now," "Dr. Romantic," and "Raadio Romance".
Interestingly, the 49-year-old actress showed a superb acting performance in her newest drama, "The Road."
In its fifth episode that was aired on August 18, the actress showed an excellent acting performance that perfectly depicted her character, success-hungry news announcer Cha Seo Yeong.

Her performance heightened the tension as she brilliantly portrayed Cha Seo Yeong's anxiety, from her effective facial expressions and body language to her trembling and cracking voice.
In the drama, Cha Seo Yeong heard that Park Seong Hwan, played by actor Cho Dal Hwan, a reporter who has bad blood with Baek Soo Hyeon, played by actor Ji Jin Hee, whom she saw a moment ago, was dead.
Kim Hye Eun vividly displays her amazing acting skills by changing her emotions so abruptly depending on the situation.
When she heard Baek Soo Hyeon had collapsed, she immediately visited him in the hospital, feeling miserable to see him with a bitter expression. A hint of sadness and vulnerability was also shown.
Meanwhile, when she comforted and affectionately embraced her husband Choi Nam Gyu, played by Ahn Nae Sang, it was difficult to judge whether her gesture was sincere or a lie.

'The Road' Episode 6 Spoilers: Yoon Se Ah Bravely Confronts Kim Hye Eun
In the sixth episode of the newest mystery thriller drama, things are about to get heated between Baek Soo Hyeon's wife, Seo Eun Soo, who is played by actress Yoon Se Ah and his colleague Cha Seo Yeong who is played by Kim Hye Eun.
Seo Eun Soo and Cha Seo Yeong meet face to face, as the atmosphere becomes more tense. The nerve war between the two foreshadows a full-scale confrontation.
Unlike the usual, Seo Eun Soo exudes a braver and stronger aura whereas Cha Seo Yeong is just being her usual self, selfish yet sophisticated. In spite of Seo Eun Soo's piercing gaze, the latter didn't seem to be fazed at all.
In addition, secrets and revelations that are not yet known are like a ticking time bomb between the two women which gives the viewers a rush of adrenaline.
