Jo In Sung Is A Pretty Nice Guy

Jo in Sung is a pretty easy to like. You might expect that someone who is so handsome and talented would be intimidating but he's a hard worker, modest and all around very likable.

When he appeared on MBC's "Section TV Entertainment," reporter Kim Sae Rom talked about how modest he was and how well prepared he was for a previous interview.

"Reporters are supposed to make the stars laugh," said Kim. "I don't know if he prepared jokes beforehand but he did all the work. It was a surprise."

It's not the first time the media has been charmed by his personality, but he also made a good impression on the men he served in the military with.

The star of "That Winter The Wind Blows" fulfilled his compulsory military duty in the air force between April 2009 and May 2011.

When Lt. Col. Yoon Young Sam appeared on a quiz show, he was asked about Jo In Sung's time in the service and he responded with praise.

"He faithfully carried out his responsibilities," said Yoon. "To say that he is a model for others would be fitting."

His fellow actors have also described him as pleasant to work with. The actor is known for his cheerful personality, although he confessed to shedding more than a few tears on and off camera while filming "That Winter The Wind Blows."

But he's not particular about whether he will act in a comedy or a romantic drama. As long as it's a good role, he's happy to work. And he has no specific acting goals. When asked to rate himself as an actor, he gave himself a 7 out of 10 with perhaps an extra half point for effort.

"I'm already so lucky and happy enough being in this position," said Jo In Sung after completing "That Winter The Wind Blows." "I just hope to participate in more acting projects."

Nor does he feel the need to become an international star. When he was asked if he wanted to act abroad, he said no.

"I think of myself as a local actor," said Jo In Sung. "It's enough for me to be loved in my country I don't need any more than that. There are actors who have many talents and are loved overseas and then there are actors like me who are happy with what I have here."

Being happy with what you have seems to make you a nicer person.
