K-drama "Brilliant Legacy" became an instant hit way back in 2009. It was the year where the Korean series started to conquer various countries in Asia.
The SBS drama "Brilliant Legacy" starring Han Hyo Joo, Lee Seung Gi, Moon Chae Won, and Bae Soo Bin is one of the treasured gems in the history of K-dramas. Now that it's almost 12 years since the drama ended, let's take a look at the latest updates about its ever-talented cast.
Han Hyo Joo
Following her drama "Brilliant Legacy" Han Hyo Joo had her breakthrough with the series "Dong Yi" in 2010. Since then, her name has evolved and started to attract more projects not just in South Korea but also in America.
She became more focused in doing foreign movies and collaborating with different International stars. Han Hyo Joo's next drama after "Dong Yi" was SBS' "W:Two Worlds" with Lee Jong Suk in 2016.
Despite being out of the spotlight in the K-drama scene for quite some time, Han Hyo Joo flawlessly dominated Hollywood and starred in the American action series "Treadstone." According to one of her past interviews, it was a dream come true for her to enter such big entertainment.
This 2021, Han Hyo Joo will be returning to the small screen with the thriller drama "Happiness" which she recently concluded filming last September 7. And her next agenda is to start working with her new series "Moving," where she will be sharing the frame with actors Jo In Sung and Cha Tae Hyun.

Lee Seung Gi
If you are a true K-drama fan, you would know that most of Lee Seung Gi's drama projects became a hit in Asia. He is also considered as one of the highest paid Korean actors. His presence and contribution in the entertainment industry, may it be in dramas or variety shows, gave a big impact to the viewers.
The power that Lee Seung Gi holds is on a whole new level. Aside from being a well-rounded artist, there is nothing he can't do in the industry, from hosting, singing, dancing, and acting, Lee Seung Gi really has it all.
After "Brilliant Legacy" he starred in various megahit dramas such as "My Girlfriend is a Gumiho," "The King 2Hearts," "A Korean Odyssey," "Vagabond," and "Mouse."
Lee Seung Gi is currently busy being a regular host of SBS variety show "Master in the House."
Moon Chae Won
Played as the antagonist in the series, Moon Chae Won was given her big break through "Brilliant Legacy." It is where she showcased her versatility as an actress. Since then, she landed a number of leading roles and has been partnered with some of the famous Korean actors such as Song Joong Ki in "The Innocent Man," Lee Jin Wook in "Goodbye Mr.Black," Lee Joong Gi in the "Criminal Minds" and "Flower of Evil."
Moon Chae Won also won numerous Best Actress Awards in various K-drama awarding ceremonies. The trophies and recognition she received proved her effectiveness as an actress not just in South Korea but also in other countries that are greatly fond of watching Korean dramas.
Her latest drama project was in 2020 in tvN's "Flower of Evil." She is currently on her break and hopefully to have her small screen comeback soon.

Bae Soo Bin
Like his fellow co-stars Han Hyo Joo, Lee Seung Gi, and Moon Chae Won, actor Bae Soo Bin also maintained his acting career for almost ten years up until now. After "Brilliant Legacy" he teamed up again with actress Han Hyo Joo for "Dong Yi."
In 2011, Bae Soo Bin worked with Lee Yo Won and Nam Gyu Ri in the SBS drama "49 Days." Adding to his projects are "The Greatest Wedding" in 2014, "My Heart Twinkle Twinkle" in 2015, "The Good Witch" in 2018, "A Pledge to God" in 2018-2019, and his latest series was "Graceful Friends" which aired in 2020.
Among the four lead casts of "Brilliant Legacy" actor, Bae Soo Bin was the only married one. He married his non-celebrity girlfriend in 2013, however, after six years of marriage, Bae Soo Bin's agency confirmed that the couple wrapped up their divorce in 2019.
