‘Hospital Playlist 2’ Cast Returns in a Special Episode + Jo Jung Suk, Jeon Mi Do, and the Rest of 99ers Express Gratitude to Fans
Amid the success of the Hospital Playlist season 2 finale, lead stars Jo Jung Suk, Jeon Mi Do, Kim Dae Myung, Jung Kyung Ho, and Yoo Yeon Seok delivered a big surprise to Yulje fans.
tvN announced that the beloved medical K-drama is returning with a special episode featuring the lead stars.
Hospital Playlist Season 2 Special Episode Release Date and What to Expect
Hospital Playlist 2 Special is scheduled to broadcast on September 23 at 8:45 pm KST.
In a teaser, the broadcast network dropped a short clip featuring the adorable Kim Jun, who played the character of Lee Ik Jun's son, Lee Uh Ju, who looked charming in his little doctor's uniform.
The child star invited the viewers to watch the special episode that is said to focus on the actors' experience on the set of the top rating drama.
In addition, the upcoming episode is set to showcase Loveline commentary with the Lee Ik Sun and Kim Ju Won, Wintergarden, IkSong, and GomGom couple.
Hospital Playlist 2 Special will also feature a question and answer with the Yulje doctor and the unreleased behind-the-scenes of the cast members.

Hospital Playlist 2 Cast Appears in Upcoming Variety Show
Apart from the highly anticipated special episode, the 99ers are set to appear in a variety show with veteran PD Na Young Suk, who also appeared on one of the episodes of "Hospital Playlist 2."
To recall, the renowned director took on the role of Jang Young Seok, Mo Ne, and Ma Ne's father.
In a statement obtained by a media outlet, a representative from tvN confirmed this; however, details such as the title, release date, and location "have not been decided yet."
It is safe to say that the new program might be released any time soon as reapers previously mentioned that the much-awaited variety show started filming on September 7, as soon as they wrapped up the production of "Hospital Playlist 2."
Hospital Playlist 2 Cast Overwhelmed by the Support from Fans
Although the Yuljems fans were devastated that there would be no more season 3 for the medical K-drama, viewers still showed their massive support for the cast until the season finale.
With this, the lead stars expressed their gratitude through heartwarming words by thanking everyone for their undying love since day one.
Jo Jung Suk, who played hepato-biliary-pancreatic surgeon Lee Ik Jun, says that he is "regretful to say goodbye again."
In addition, he hoped that viewers would remember the series with "happy memories."
"I sincerely thank the viewers who loved and cherished 'Hospital Playlist' from season one to season two," he mentioned, adding a heartfelt "thank you" to the production crew, especially to the director, writer, and fellow actors.
The same goes for Yoo Yeon Seok, who took the role of pediatric surgeon Ahn Jung Won as he mentioned that he "received a lot of love and support" while playing the character.
Moreover, he sent his sincere thanks to the viewers who loved "Hospital Playlist," adding that spending two years as Jung Won was a "very precious time" for him.
As for the grumpy yet affectionate Kim Jun Wan, played by Jung Kyung Ho, he shared that the medical K-drama was a "real turning point" for him and was "honored" to be a part of the 99ers.
Meanwhile, Kim Dae Myung, who played the OB-Gyn surgeon Yang Seok Hyung, sincerely thanked PD Shin Won Ho, writer Lee Woo Jung and his fellow stars and team whom he described as the "coolest cast and crew in the world."
Lastly, the lovely Jeon Mi Do says that being Chae Song Hwa was the "best gift" she could ever receive.
