GOT7’s Jinyoung to Make His Silver Screen Return with Action-Thriller Movie ‘Christmas Carol’

One of the busiest idol-actors today, Park Jinyoung is expected to meet his fans and the viewers with a new challenging yet exciting character. Not in a music video nor in a K-drama but in a K-movie.
'The Devil Judge' Star Jinyoung To Lead His New Movie 'Christmas Carol'
Newsis reported on October 8 that Jinyoung has been selected to lead the forthcoming film "Christmas Carol" directed by Kim Sung Soo.
The Action-thriller movie "Christmas Carol" tells the story of a twin brother who entered a juvenile center on his own to seek justice by taking revenge on the person behind his twin brother's death.
It has been said that the movie will feature psychological thrillers and real-life action scenarios. "Christmas Carol" is based on Joo Won Gyu's novel of the same title. GOT7's Jinyoung will play two roles, which is different from his previous characters. OCN's "Save Me" writer Jung Shin Kyo will pen the script.
This is not the first time that the "Eclipse" singer is involved in a thriller genre project. In fact, in 2019, Jinyoung led the tvN Kdrama "He is Psychometric" where he portrayed the character of Lee An, an individual who has the special psychometry ability. Whenever he touches someone, he can immediately read that person's memory.
As a well-rounded artist, Jinyoung proved his skills in singing, dancing, and flexible acting throughout various entertainment activities. In his latest series, "The Devil Judge," GOT7 Jinyoung displayed his serious and high-caliber acting.
He also worked with award-winning actor Ji Sung in the drama where Jinyoung mentioned in one of his interviews that he learned a lot from his senior.

'Christmas Carol' Begins Filming in First Half of 2022
Meanwhile, after he was confirmed to lead a new movie, Jinyoung said that even before the filming begins, he can already feel the expectations in the project. But he will make sure to do his best to perfectly express his emotion well through his new character.
"Christmas Carol" was also selected at the Busan Asian Project Market this year. The filming production is expected to start in the first half of 2021 after the team officially finishes the casting.
Further details about the official release date of the movie, actors joining in the cast are yet to be revealed soon.
Meanwhile, Jinyoung is also part of the Friday-Saturday drama "Yumi's Cells." He is also in the middle of filming his sci-fi movie "High Five."
