K-movies often surprise the viewers with unpredictable twists and turns, just like the 2017 movie "Forgotten" starring Kang Ha Neul and Kim Mu Yeol.

The thriller mystery movie features a dark and violent story of a murderer who forced himself to forget about his crime involving a mother and her daughter.

To uncover the reason behind the crime, a detective pretended to be his brother and hired experts to play as their parents.

Kang Ha Neul and Kim Mu Yeol took on the role of siblings Jin Seok and Yoon Seok, who exude a perfect family living in Seoul.

Unfortunately, Jin Seok slowly found out about his family's secret that led him to confess his crime.

Five years after the movie was launched, here are the current and upcoming projects of Kang Ha Neul and Kim Mu Yeol and the "Forgotten" cast.

Viewers get to see how diverse Kang Ha Neul is in the movie "Forgotten."

After the film was released, the 31-year-old actor landed the role of local police officer Hwang Yong Shik in "When the Camellia Blooms" opposite Gong Hyo Jin.

Kang Ha Neul also scored his first-ever Baeksang Arts Awards Best Actor in the KBS series.

The actor is currently appearing in two films- a star-studded romance film "A Year-End medley" with Girl's Generation's YoonA, Lee Dong Wook and more and the "Pirates 2" with Han Hyo Joo and Lee Kwang Soo.

Moreover, Kang Ha Neul will also return to the small screen with an upcoming action thriller Kdrama "Insider" and "Trees Die on Their Feet," with Oscar-winner Youn Yuh Jung and Hallyu star Son Ye Jin.

The South Korean star took our breath away with his character Yoon Seok in "Forgotten."

Like Kang Ha Neul, Kim Mu Yeol will also return to Kdrama land with two new series this 2022.

After starring in the 2017 Kdrama "Bad Guys: City of Evil," fans would get to see the actor alongside Kim Hye Soo in Netflix's "Juvenile Justice."

Moreover, he is also in talks to appear in the thriller sci-fi "Grid" with "Sweet Home" star Lee Si Young, Seo Kang Joon, Kim Ah Joong and more.

As for movies, Kim Mu Yeol will be booked and busy with a slew of upcoming films this year. It includes "The Devil's Deal," "Honest Candidate 2," and "Rebound."

"The Beauty Inside" actress took on the role of the sibling's mother, who Yoon Seok hired to act as one of the family members.

She recently appeared in "One The Woman" as Honey Lee's mother-in-law named Seo Young Won and currently appears in KBS' "Love Twist."

Moon Sung Geun

The veteran actor took on the role of hypnosis expert who pretended to be Park Seong Dae, the father of Jin Seok and Yoon Seok.

Moon Sung Geun appeared in "The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim" Songyeong High School Principal Kyung Pil and has a brief role in "Dr. Brain."

The actor is set to play a supporting role in the action mystery series "Moving" with lead stars Han Hyo Joo, Ryu Seung Ryong and Jo In Sung.
