Based on a popular web novel-which has also been adapted into a webtoon-of the same name, "A Business Proposal" follows the romantic story of an office worker who goes on a blind date with her company's CEO, in her best friend's stead.

The drama stars Kim Sejeong as the regular food researcher Shin Ha Ri, who stands in for her best friend Jin Young Seo (Seol in Ah) on a blind date with Kang Tae Mu, the rich and handsome yet stern CEO, played by Ahn Hyo Seop.
After their chaotic blind date, Kang Tae Mu becomes determined to marry Shin Ha Ri at all costs. However, she is determined to take him down to avoid further damages and struggles.

In the office, Kang Tae Mu just happens to be Shin Ha Ri's boss, making her life much more complicated.
