"Reply 1988" star Ryu Hye Young officially leaves Jet People Entertainment and joins "Law School" co-star Kim Bum's agency, King Kong by Starship.

Ryu Hye Young Signs With King Kong by Starship

On June 2, Ryu Hye Young signed an exclusive contract with King Kong by Starship, marking a new start in her career. In response to the news, Starship's CEO Lee Jin Sung said:

"Ryu Hye Young is an actress with originality and sincere acting. In the future, King Kong by Starship will provide active support to her and upcoming projects."

Starship Entertainment is the home company of some of the brightest actors and actresses in the industry, namely Yoo Yeon Seok, Lee Dong Wook, Kim Bum, Lee Kwang Soo, Shin Seung Ho, Son Woo Hyun, Jo Yoon Hee, Chae Soo Bin, and more.

The label is owned by Starship Entertainment, which is the home to K-pop groups MONSTA X, WJSN, CRAVITY, singer K.Will, and more. 

Ryu Hye Young Past Projects

The 31-year-old female star made her acting debut in 2007 and signed with Jet People. After almost a decade of partnership, the actress decided to part ways with the company.

During her stay in the agency, Ryu Hye Young blossomed as an actress and honed her full potential.

She became known for her role as Sung Bo Ra in the coming-of-age tvN drama "Reply 1988" in 2015. Her onscreen chemistry with Go Kyung Pyo was also lauded during the drama's run.

Three years later, Hye Young headlined the 2018 series "Dear My Room."

In 2021, the actress made her small-screen return with the court JTBC drama "Law School." It was her first time working with K-drama heartthrob Kim Bum. 

Ryu Hye Young Returns With New K-Drama 'Until the Morning Comes'

The celebrity is gearing for her drama comeback as she is confirmed to star in JTBC's forthcoming series "Until the Morning Comes." She will work with actors Han Suk Kyu, Jung Yu Mi, Kim Joon Han, and Lee Hee Jun.
