Is Joo Won Single? The 'Carter' Star's Past, Rumored Girlfriends
Debuting in 2010, the singer-actor is among the most versatile and not to mention charming celebrities of his generation.
Interestingly, according to a media outlet, he reportedly has been in three relationships.
In a report, Joo Won's first relationship was during high school. He was a sophomore at that time and described it as his first love.
He revealed that he used to express his feelings a lot back then and regularly tells her how he loves her a lot.
"My girlfriend must have gotten fed up with that, so she broke up with me over a text message," he said, revealing the reason behind the breakup.
When he entered showbiz, he was involved in dating rumors, including with singer and actress BoA.
Interestingly, after being hounded by rumors, the duo officially confirmed their relationship in January 2017.
In the same report, several outlets noted that the couple met through an acquaintance. They have allegedly been dating since the latter half of 2016.
Joo Won and BoA became close because of their same interests, like golfing and hiking.
The actor was unafraid to express his feelings toward his then-girlfriend.
During the press conference of his K-drama "My Sassy Girl," he shared BoA's message before his enlistment and said, "It may seem like a long time, but it's really not... return safely and in healthy condition."
Unfortunately, months after confirming their relationship, the couple announced they had parted ways due to personal reasons.
Joo Won's Ideal Type
The actor once spoke about his ideal type despite being private about his love life.
The actor sees dating as a prerequisite to marriage and doesn't really delve into the romance; instead, he "steps back and carefully observes whether the other party is suitable" for him.
"To me, the one I date should be my ideal type in marriage," he said, adding, "Because there are two sons in my family, I hope that my other half can get along with my parents just like a daughter would."
As for his ideal type, Joo Won prefers personality over looks. The top quality that he likes is being kind and having good manners.
He also added that a "person who loves to laugh looks the most beautiful."
