Its wide range of entertainment has taken the world by storm, and numerous creatives and artists from the industry abroad are starting to collaborate with Koreans to create more top-selling films.

With well-produced K-dramas, Korean movies are also stepping up their game, tying and even surpassing Hollywood films. 

Without further ado, these are some of the great manufactured K-movies from 2018-2022 that are worth viewing.

'Space Sweepers' 

Set in 2092, when Earth has become uninhabitable. Leaving the dying place, UTS corporation builds a new home for humanity. But only a few can ascend. It tells the story of the crew of a space junk collector ship called The Victory. But their lives go upside down after they discover a humanoid child robot named Dorothy that's known to be a weapon of mass destruction.

In addition, this movie is regarded as the first Korean space blockbuster having debuted at no.1 in more than 15 countries on Netflix. It also gained more audience for its stellar cast namely; Song Joong Ki, Jin Sun Kyu, and Kim Tae Ri. 

'Extreme Job'

Story of five detectives from the same drug squad who goes undercover to bring down a criminal organization. They tried different ways to accomplish their mission. These five detectives disguise themselves as employees at a chicken restaurant. Unexpectedly the resto grows popular throwing the detectives into unforeseen situations.

Starring outstanding stars Ryu Seung Ryong, Lee Honey, Jin Sun Kyu, Lee Dong Hwi, and Gong Myung, they will make you laugh and cry, and is packed with action and comedy that will surely give you a great movie experience. It currently holds the record for being the second most watched in South Korea's film history. 

'The Witch Part 1: The Subversion'

Action-mystery movie; about a female high school student, who is trained to become a murder weapon. She tries to escape but always leads her into deeper troubles and unintentionally reveals darkness she could not see coming in life.

The film stars Kim Da Mi, Choi Woo Sik, Go Min Si, Jo Min Soo, Park Hee Soon, and more.

'Exit'

Another remarkable film packed with action and comedy. Starring actor Jo Jung Suk and idol-actress Yoona. "Exit" was the third highest-grossing domestic film in South Korea in 2019.

It depicts the story of a man who attempts to reconnect with an old crush, but following a series of events, the two end up trying to escape from a mysterious white gas that scares the entire population of Seoul.

'Along With the Gods: The Last 49 Days'

This is a sequel to the 2017 movie, "Along With the Gods: Two Worlds." It is South Korea's third highest-grossing film. The success of its first movie continued with its second and broke the opening day record on the first day of its release in Korea.

'Inseparable Bros'

It follows the story of two individuals, who have been living together for more than 20 years. Though they are not biologically related, they treat each other as brothers. Se Ha (Shin Ha Kyun) is smart but has a physical disability.

Dong Goo (Lee Kwang Soo) is not that genius but has an excellent body and stamina. The two have met Mi Hyun (Esom), the only person who treats them without any judgment and helps them discover a new world. 

'Parasite'

This world-class movie made history in the Korean film industry when it won Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards. "Parasite" was the first non-English film to win Best Picture at the prestigious ceremony.
