Korean content continues to solidify its branding worldwide. In a recent report released by FlixPatrol on October 25, the newly debuted movie "20th Century Girl" starring Kim Yoo Jung and Byeon Woo Seok garnered 355 points and occupied the fifth spot in Netflix's movie category globally.
In addition, based on the rankings by country, the romance film ranked first in South Korea and Japan. Adding to the achievement of the movie, it also topped in multiple countries including Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Peru, India, Guatemala, Honduras, and Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, earning first place on Netflix global was "The School for Good and Evil," followed by the Australian film "The Stranger." "Luckiest Girl Alive" on the third spot and "The Curse of Bridge Hollow" at the fourth spot.
The film "20th Century Girl" proved the power of Korean youth movies in the international audience.

Since Kim Yoo Jung and Byeon Woo Seok's "20th Century Girl" became a success at the box office and captured thousands of viewers for its great storytelling and well-casted stars, the upcoming romance movie "Ditto" starring Yeo Jin Goo and Cho Yi Hyun is now gaining attention from the audience, and many are already looking forward to its release, expecting that it will be a good film to watch.
"Ditto" is a remake of the 2000 film of the same name, which depicts the story of a male and female college students living in 1979 and 2000, communicating through old radios. Yeo Jin Goo plays the role of Yong and Cho Yi Hyun takes the character of Mu Nee. For this year's adaptation, they are college students living in 1999 and the present in 2022.
On the other hand, Director Seo Eun Young expressed her confidence regarding the film, " 'Ditto' will draw more sympathy from the youth of the 20s by drawing the friendship and growth of the characters while keeping the affectionate sensibility of the original work."
The coming-of-age romance movie is expected to meet the viewers starting November 16. K-drama stars Bae In Hyuk, Kim Hye Yoon, and Na In Woo will also participate in the film.
