So Ji Sub recalls a strange experience he felt while filming the new movie "Confession" where he stars along with Nana and Kim Yoon Jin. During his interview with the media, the actor revealed his thoughts about his first thriller movie and the reason he chose to star in "Confession."

Why So Ji Sub Took the Role of Yoo Min Ho in 'Confession'

So Ji Sub transformed into a budding hotshot CEO of an IT company, named Yoo Min Ho, who got embroiled in a case after he became a prime suspect regarding the death of his mistress, Kim Se Hee played by Nana.

Amid the situation, Yang Shin Ae, portrayed by Kim Yoon Jin, is representing Yoo Min Ho and is determined to win the case to keep her 100 percent winning rate status.

In the interview, So Ji Sub shared what prompted him to accept the offer and headline a thriller crime movie.

As obtained by a media outlet, the actor mentioned that he was moved by the storyline and was curious how each chapter will end.

So Ji Sub Revealed to Have Suffered Nightmares While Filming Confession

There's no doubt why So Ji Sub is among the versatile and top-notch K-drama leading men of his generation as he could portray various roles and get immersed with every character he portrays.

It includes his role in "Confession" where he played the character with a spectrum of emotions.

In the movie, So Ji Sub delivered a variety of emotions as his character experience anger, resentment, anxiety, and desperation after being suspected of murdering a person.

With this, he revealed that he experienced strange nightmares while filming "Confession."

The actor spoke about how he loves doing things that he had "never really done before" and considered it as a "strange charm," unfortunately he also suffered major blows, especially with his health.

"When I was sleeping, I suffered from nightmares of beating someone or chasing after me," he said, adding that once the filming was over, the strange dreams stopped.

So Ji Sub's New Movie 'Confession' Tops Korean Box Office

"Confession" is one of So Ji Sub's movies this 2022 after joining the star-studded cast of "Alien" with Kim Tae Ri, Ryu Jun Yeol, and Kim Woo Bin.

Interestingly, after its theatrical release last October 26, the movie received an overwhelming response from the public.

According to a report, "Confession" is currently the number one movie at the Korean box office for five consecutive days.

So Ji Sub's new drama beats newly released Korean thriller movies such as 'The Vanishing: Unsolved Case." "Anchor," "Limit," and "Delusion."
