Ma Dong Seok dishes out the details regarding the upcoming sequels of "The Roundup." The South Korean top star took to Instagram and shared updates about production and filming schedule.

Ma Dong Seok's Instagram Reveals Back-to-Back Filming of 'The Roundup'

The 51-year-old star posted a series of still cuts, teasing fans on what to expect in the upcoming sequel.

In addition, the actor also revealed that the third installment titled "The Roundup: No Way Out" has concluded its filming and is now gearing up for the fourth sequel.

"THE ROUNDUP: NO WAY OUT(범죄도시3) has wrapped production!!"Ma Dong Seok's Instagram caption reads adding, "We are concurrently shooting THE ROUNDUP: PUNISHMENT(범죄도시4) which we will also finish strong!

Moreover, he also took the opportunity to invite fans to his forthcoming movie "men of Plastic" which hit the big screens on November 30.

In the comments section, fans expressed their excitement to see the actor reprising his role as detective Ma Seok Do and his strong team.

Interestingly, joining the top star are a roster of amazing actors including Lee Joon Hyuk who will be the new villain, and will also be featuring Japanese actor Aoki Munetaka as Ricky.

As for "The Roundup: No Way Out" release date, it is expected to premiere sometime in 2023, the same goes for "The Roundup: Punishment" which will all be directed by Lee Sang Yong once again.

In the upcoming sequel, the top-tier detective will be teaming up with the Regional Investigation Unit with their mission to chase a group of Japanese Yakuza gangsters in Korea.

Ma Dong Seok previously shared in a media event his thoughts and expectations about the highly anticipated sequel.

"'The Roundup: No Way Out' finally started filming. I know a lot of people are looking forward to it, and we'll try to meet their expectations by making an enjoyable film," he said as obtained by Variety.

'The Roundup' Highlights

It can be recalled that the first installment was released in 2017 titled "The Outlaws" where Yoon Kye Sang plays the villain gang leader, Jang Chen.

Due to its success, the movie returned after five years featuring old and returning cast members.

"The Roundup" reigned at the Korean box office for weeks after surpassing 12 million moviegoers. With this, the comedy action film becomes the 14th Korean movie in history to hit the 12 million mark. Ma Dong Seok's movie even beat "Avengers: Age Of Ultron."

Ma Dong Seok's New Movie 'Men of Plastic'

From the action-packed "The Roundup" Ma Dong Seok shows his versatility after landing a lead role in the comedy-drama movie "Men of Plastic."

Playing the role of Dae Gook, the Apgujeong native moves to Seoul to start his plastic surgery business.

Joining Ma Dong Seok are Jung Kyung Ho, Oh Nara, and Oh Yeon Seo as lead stars.
