On November 22, Daum reported that Kim Ji Won received a casting offer to lead the new drama "Queen of Tears" with Kim Soo Hyun, who is also currently in talks for.

On the same day, in response to the news, a source from the actress' agency High Zium Studio confirmed that Kim Ji Won received an offer to join the cast of the drama, and she is positively reviewing the project.
