So Ji Sub Instagram: Actor Reveals Interesting Reason for Joining IG

So Ji Sub is among the top stars who recently launched their own Instagram. With this, the award-winning actor shared an interesting reason behind it.

Back in September, the "Doctor Lawyer" star joined the bandwagon and surprised fans with his own Instagram account with an IG handle, "soganzi_51."

It is a combination of his nickname "So Ganzi" which means cool and his agency's name, 51K entertainment.

So Ji Sub's first Instagram post featured a throwback photo of him during his early days in modeling along with a caption that says "This was the beginning..."

However, in a recent interview with Herald POP, the "Oh My Venus" star spoke about his reason for joining social media.

So Ji Sub Launches Instagram Because of THIS

For So Ji Sub, he shared that it was all for his fans and even joked about being "blunt and boring" on Instagram.

Moreover, the actor mentioned that he somehow regrets creating Instagram just now and "feels sorry for the fans" since they will have no update about him if he has no ongoing or upcoming projects.

Now, he feels Instagram is a way to communicate with fans who have shown massive support towards him.

"They can also recall memories by looking at the photos, and like the posts for a long time," he said.

As for the image he wanted to have on social media, So Ji Sub said that he would rather be "fun rather than cool" and on second thought, he added "I thought it would be easier to post strange photos, but it's harder than I thought.

Besides So Ji Sub, a slew of Korean celebrities recently launched their Instagram account. It includes "Squid Game" stars Lee Jung Jae, Park Hae Soo, as well as top stars Jung Woo Sung and "Under the Queen's Umbrella" star Kim Hye Soo

So Ji Sub's Back-to-Back Projects This 2022

Apart from So Ji Sub's Instagram, one of the highlights of his year is his multiple projects, from small screen to movies.

After four years, he returned to the big screen through the star-studded cast of "Alien."

The sci-fi action movie stars Kim Tae Ri, Ryu Jun Yeol, and Kim Woo Bin as the lead stars.

It was then followed by another film "Confession" released this November.

From big screen comeback, So Ji Sub also starred in a hit K-drama this 2022. After his 2018 series "Terius Behind Me" with Jung In Sun, Son Ho Jun, and Im Se Mi, he took a challenging role in "Doctor Lawyer."

So Ji Sub played Han Yi Han, an elite surgeon known for his outstanding skills, specializing in general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery; however, he gets caught up in a chaotic situation and gets his medical license revoked.

To redeem his dignity, he studied law and worked as a lawyer for medical litigation.
