Netflix Korea has finally released Part 1 of the much awaited series "The Glory" starring Song Hye Kyo.
It focuses on the story of a school violence victim who works her way to the top of the food chain to seek revenge from her perpetrators.
With only eight episodes available online, the drama instantly hooked viewers, leading to its inevitable success. Song Hye Kyo's comeback work was even dubbed as her best drama yet.
Less than a week since its premiere, "The Glory" already ranked No. 5 on the Top 10 Netflix TV Shows for non-English category, proving its massive success.
However, the thing that captured the viewers' attention is Song Hye Kyo's transformation. The actress, who was once criticized for possessing mediocre acting, flaunted her immersive performance as Moon Dong Eun.
She completely embodied her role as a school violence victim whose heart is filled with vengeance and hatred. The actress even cut her hair short, saying goodbye to her usual long-haired roles.

Song Hye Kyo's Comeback Drama Raises Awareness
Though the series was centered on revenge and hatred, "The Glory" seamlessly proved that it's a drama that viewers have never seen before.
It managed to identify its own hauntingly dark color on its own. Despite that, the drama still didn't justify the misdeeds of the villains in the story.
"The Glory" raises awareness of the danger of violence which is hidden behind the guise of "school pranks" and "friendly banters," which are notorious in most high school institutions.
It also depicted how vile and psychologically inhumane other people could be, making viewers vigilant about their surroundings.
