In a lengthy yet heartfelt message, Song Joong Ki greeted the public with a bombshell announcement, revealing that he and Katy Louise Saunders have been married.

The South Korean star opened the letter by saying that he wanted to "share a promise that is more happy and valuable" to him than anything.

The actor described the British actress as someone who has been by his side supporting him.

"Who I have spent valuable time with while cherishing each other," he said adding that they have "promised to continue life together.

"She has a kind heart, and she has lived her life passionately. She is a sensible and amazing person to the point that I revere her," the actor wrote before saying that he has become a better person thanks to her.

From marriage, he went on and added that Song Joong Ki's girlfriend is pregnant with their first child. He said that it is both their dream to "make a happy family" and now they are blessed with a bundle of joy.

"We have been trying hard to keep each other's promise and gratefully, we have welcomed a precious life between the two of us," adding, "So today, we have registered our marriage as a couple, based on our deepest love and trust."

The actor and soon-to-be father also took the opportunity to thank his fans who have been supporting him through his highs and lows no matter what.

Song Joong Ki even mentioned his fans Ki Aile and was praised for providing "the greatest strength to me throughout my acting career."
