Kim Seon Ho talked about the remarkable memories he had on the set of "The Childe," including being scolded by the director.

The heathrob returns to the spotlight months after his hiatus. After bouncing back from a slump, South Korea's "good boy" is having his big screen debut through the action-crime movie "The Childe."

Playing a different character, Kim Seon Ho dished on the challenges he faced as he played the antagonist role.

In "The Childe," the 37-year-old actor takes on the role of the villain, Gwi Gong Ya, a mysterious character who crosses paths with Marco, played by Kang Tae Joo.

In an interview with Herald POP, the actor looked back at his experience filming the movie.

Kim Seon Ho revealed a surprising story and mentioned that he once got scolded by Director Park Hoon Jung. According to the actor, he had a scene where his acting was kind of "awkward," especially with dialogue that includes swearing, and was called out by the director for it.

"He said that my usual way of speaking was very friendly," he said, referring to a scene where Kim Seon Hoo's character needs to portray angry emotion.

Due to this, "The Childe" director recommended movies for him to watch. It includes the 1971 movies "'A Clockwork Orange" and "The New World."

In addition, he realized that he could deliver his scenes using foul language without screaming.

In the same interview, he also shared that besides the movies recommended by the director, he also watched iconic films like "The Godfather," which starred Al Pacino, and other crime drama movies like "The Irishman" and "Infernal Affairs."

Kim Seon Ho admitted that his character was a bit of a challenge to him but was thankful for his role in "The Childe."

As the South Korean actor talked about his comeback, he also expressed his gratitude to director Park Hoon Jung for including him as one of the main characters, despite the controversy.

"At the time, he pretended nothing was wrong with me and said, 'I want you to do it,'" he said, adding, "I was in a situation where if I said no, it would be delayed or cause damage."

Meanwhile, an outlet mentioned the decision of Studio & New CEO, the production company behind "The Childe," and said that they are "okay" with Kim Seon Ho and "willing to do it until the end" as long as he is okay with it.

As the upcoming noir movie piqued the interest of viewers with its amazing cast lineup, "The Childe" depicts the story of an amateur boxer who is set to make a big move in Korea to find his father. The Filipino-Korean boy unexpectedly got caught up in a tricky situation after meeting Gwi Gong Ya.

Apart from Kim Seon Ho and Kang Tae Joo, "The Childe" cast includes Kim Kang Woo and Go Ah Ra as lead stars.

Meanwhile, Kim Seon Ho's movie is slated to premiere on June 21.
