In addition, Kim Go Eun, who also worked with Lee Sang Yi in "Yumi's Cells," also showed her support by hitting the like button.

To recall, the scandal ridden actress was rumored to step down from her role in "Bloodhounds," like her supposed drama "Trolley" with SBS.

However, the "Bloodhounds" director continued to cast Kim Sae Ron and shut down rumors that she was replaced by rookie Jung Da Eun of "Our Blooming Youth."

At the time, reports said that she expressed her intention to withdraw from the casting, but director Jason Kim continued to include her as one of the supporting actors.

Why 'Bloodhounds' Director Continue to Cast Kim Sae Ron Despite the Controversy?

Helmed by Jason Kim, who is also the director of "The Divine Fury" and "Midnight Runners," "Bloodhounds" is based on the webtoon of the same name that depicts the story of two amateur boxers who get caught up in the organization of a terrifying load shark named Kim Myung Gil.

As for Kim Sae Ron, she takes on the role of Kim Hyun Joo, the granddaughter of President Choi Tae Ho, played by veteran actor Heo Joon Ho.

At the "Bloodhounds" press conference, director Jason Kim explained why Kim Sae Ron was retained as part of the series.

He said that at the time the scandal broke, the series was almost complete.

However, they couldn't remove her from the series since Kim Hyun Joo is an essential part of the story.

As for those who will be uncomfortable watching the actress, the team reduced her role and she was not seen in the second half of the series.

"We tried our best to minimize the actress' appearance to decrease the viewer's discomfort," he said, as obtained by a media outlet, adding, "We did our best to increase the quality of the drama while minimizing her appearance."
