THIS ‘DP’ Season 2 Cast Gains Attention After Delivering Show-Stopping Performance Despite Being a Rookie

Rookie actor Bae Nara gained huge attention after joining the cast of "D.P." season 2. 

Despite playing a supporting actor, he showcased his versatility playing a challenging role. 

In the Netflix series, the 32-year-old actor plays one of the deserters. He took on the role of Jang Seong Min, also known as Nina, as his stage name. 

"D.P." season 2 illustrates what prompted him to abandon his post in the military. Like most of the deserters featured in the Netflix series, Jang Seong Min suffered brutally and was criticized by his superiors for being queer.

However, Seong Min also faced harassment before entering the military. He was bullied for wanting to play a female role in theater. 

After escaping the military, he managed to live as her alter ego, Nina, where he felt at home, showing the audience her talent, beauty, and charisma on stage.

However, because the D.P. team is on the hunt for deserters, corporal Han Hyo Yeol, played by Goo Kyo Hwan, tried to persuade him to return, but Seong Min is determined not to return and experience the hellish life again.

As a result, he tried to escape the country using a fake passport but was questioned regarding his identity. Unfortunately, his struggle ended after he died, leaving viewers heartbroken for Jung Seong Min. 

Bae Nara Steals the Spotlight in 'D.P' Season 2

With the touching story of his character, Bae Nara was praised by viewers for his outstanding performance as he perfectly delivered the colorful role of Nina. 

On social media, fans can't help but compliment the actor's heartfelt portrayal of the character. 

Moreover, others were also stunned to know that Bae Nara is just a rookie actor with "D.P" season 2 as his debut project. 

Bae Nara Grateful for Public's Response With His Performance in 'D.P.' Season 2

As reported by a media outlet, the actor expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support from viewers. 

Through his agency, he mentioned how "sincerely grateful" he is for the compliments and attention.

"It was an enormous honor just to be able to be a part of a work that I love so much, and I am genuinely thankful for being able to bring Jang Seong Min to life," he added.

Who is Bae Nara? The Scene-Stealer in Netflix's 'D.P.' Season 2

Before captivating the viewers with his impressive performance in "D.P" season 2, Bae Nara was not new to acting.

He made his acting debut in 2013 after landing a role in the musical "Promise." It was then followed by notable plays like "Wig In A Box" and "Midnight Radio."

In addition, he was also introduced in 2019 as one of the members of the project boy group The T-Bird. The group released their first single, "Rock Star."
