Released in 2021, "Bulgasal: Immortal Souls" is a dark fantasy K-drama with a hint of historical drama elements that stars Lee Jin Wook, Kwon Nara, Lee Joon, and more.

Not only did the 16-part episode series deliver an intriguing story that kept viewers hooked with every episode, but it also showcased incredible visual elements. 

Directed by Jang Young Woo of "Entourage" and the upcoming K-drama "Queen of Tears," "Bulgasal: Immortal Souls" depicts the story of a man who becomes immortal due to a curse. Due to this, he sought revenge from a woman with a mysterious past and present.

He thinks that she is the person responsible for his never-ending misery.

As he chased down the mysterious woman, he met interesting individuals along the way. Unfortunately, one of them is the villain, who is also immortal, just like him.

It's been two years since the dark fantasy K-drama wrapped up the season, and with that, let's take a look at the "Bulgasal: Immortal Souls" cast's current and upcoming projects. 

Lee Jin Wook

Playing the titular role of Dan Hwal, a.k.a. the Bulgasal, Lee Jin Wook once again showed his acting prowess and his fertility as he played the anti-hero character. 

After "Bulgasal: Immortal Souls," he starred in the romance K-drama "Welcome to Wedding Hell" with Lee Yun Hee.

Interestingly, Lee Jin Wook is set to reprise his role in "Sweet Home" seasons 2 and 3, where he played Pyeon Sang Wook, a mysterious man in the scar. 

On top of this, he is booked and busy in the coming year because he is among the new cast members of the highly anticipated K-drama "Squid Game" season 2. 

Kwon Nara

The South Korean beauty played a character with multiple roles. Kwon Nara lived as Min Sang Un in the present but used to be a Bulgasal in ancient times. 

Following her role in "Bulgasal: Immortal Souls," she is set to make a K-drama comeback for the upcoming series "Nightly Photo Studio."

Kwon Nara will be teaming up with bJoo Won for the romance fantasy series helmed by "The King's Affection" director Song Hyun Wook.

Lee Joon

Of course, the "Bulgasal: Immortal Souls" cast update will not be complete without Lee Joon. Taking on the role of villain, the singer-actor proved his versatility as he played the antagonist, Ok Eul Tae.

On the other hand, he is set to return with an interesting character in the forthcoming K-drama "7 Escape."

From the creators of "The Penthouse: War in Life" trilogy, Lee Joon stars alongside Uhn Ki Joon, Hwang Jung Eum, and more and will be returning for season 2.
