Kim Min Jae Reveals Enlistment Date

Kim Min Jae officially announced the details of his enlistment date. 

Following the confirmation of his military activities, the "Dr. Romantic" actor shared on his fan cafe the exact date that he will enlist for mandatory service.

In a report cited by a local media outlet, the 26-year-old star shared that he wishes to convey the news directly to his fans but instead shared the news over his official fan cafe.

The actor then revealed that he will have his enlistment on September 18 and fulfill his national defense duties.

In addition,l Kim Min Jae also expressed his plans to join the Army Band. 

"I feel very sad when I think about not seeing you all for a while once I get enlisted. I will be joining the Army Band, and I am also excited and grateful because I believe I will be able to experience and learn more through my military journey," the actor said. 

Lastly, he concluded his message by thanking his fans for the support and promises to return "as a stronger and better person."

Following the actor's post, Kim Min Jae's agency, YAMYAM ENTERTAINMENT, officially confirmed the date of his military service.

According to the label, this is to "fulfill his responsibilities for maintaining national security."

In addition, the agency also asked fans for "unwavering love and support" for the actor "until the day he successfully completes his military service."

'Dr. Romantic 3' Star Han Seok Kyu Accidentally Revealed Kim Min Jae's Plans for Enlistment

It can be recalled that Kim Min Jae's enlistment plans were unintentionally revealed by his "Dr. Romantic" co-star Han Seok Ku during the press conference of the drama's third season.

At the time, the veteran actor was expressing his gratitude and sweet words to the younger actor, but due to his emotions, he accidentally revealed Kim Min Jae's enlistment plans.

"I feel like I'm suddenly tearing up. I am so grateful to Kim Min Jae," he said, adding, "When I met Kim Min Jae during Season 1, there was a point where I told him, 'Hurry up, and go to the military,' but he is going to the military in July."

After hearing this, the junior actor was taken aback by the revelation. Han Seok Kyu then noticed Kim Min Jae's expression and said, "Was that something that shouldn't have been said?"

The 26-year-old actor then later revealed that "Dr. Romantic 3" was his last project in his 20s.

As for the unexpected revelation of his co-star, Kim Min Jae said it was a relief for Han Seok Kyu to talk about his enlistment because he "was thinking a lot about how to convey" the news to fans.

Apart from the medical K-drama, Kim Min Jae also starred in several notable series like "Do You Like Brahms? "Dali and the Cocky Prince," and "Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist."
