Krystal Jung Shares Future Career Plans Following Cannes Debut

Krystal Jung Praised For 'Cobweb' Acting
From the idol scene to the acting screen, Krystal Jung has managed to dominate both with her limitless talents.
This fall, she successfully made her Cannes debut with the film "Cobweb" opposite Song Kang Ho, Oh Jung Se and more.
In the film, Krystal transformed into rising star Han Yu Rim who becomes the core player in the film-within-a-film, and showed off her improved and immersive acting that received high praises.
Not only did she display an unconventional performance but also showed her hysteria and synergy with her senior actors who also fell in love with her charms and innate talents.

"The film really opened a new path for me as an actress," Krystal said. "It's like a gift to me."
Despite the applause she received from the team as well as the audiences, Krystal remained humble with the mindset to do her best in every work.
Krystal Jung Reveals Future Career Plans
Through "Cobweb," Krystal discovered her desire to explore different genres as an actress.
"It's my first time to star in a black-and-white film," Krystal shared. "I liked it. I want to take on more genres in the future."
According to the idol-actress, she still needs to improve as an actress. However, if she's given the opportunity, Krystal wants to take on a main role in a rom-com or a melodrama.
In addition to that, Krystal also shared that she wants to return as a singer someday, much to fans' delight.
"Being a singer helped me a lot in acting," she said. "It had a positive influence on me. Though they're different, they both helped in honing who I am today."
Before she debuted as an actress, Krystal Jung first made her appearance as a member of the multinational girl group f(x) in 2009, and released hit songs "Electric Shock," "4 Walls" and more.
On the other hand, catch Krystal as Han Yu Rim in "Cobweb" in theaters nationwide. The film will be released internationally on October 4 so don't miss it.
