Ma Dong Seok's 'Badland Hunters' Confirmed to Premiere on Netflix

On November 2, media outlets announced that "Badland Hunters," also known as "The Wilderness," is expected to be released in more than 190 countries through the famous streaming giant Netflix.

"Badland Hunters" is a disaster movie following the last struggle of those living in a ruined world and a lawless world dominated only by the power of survival.

According to a source, it will stimulate interest in post-apocalypse material that tells stories after the end of the world. As it finally starts to be a hot topic online, people are looking forward to the movie as it will be Huh Myung Haeng's first disaster film. He is the brilliant mind behind "The Outlaws," "Ghost," "Hunt," "Train to Busan," and "Good, Bad, and Weird."

In addition, the "Badland Hunters" is drawing more expectations for the collaboration again of Huh Myung Haeng and now international actor Ma Dong Seok, who have been working closely in the action film series "The Outlaws."

Huh Myung Haeng, who has captured the hearts of movie fans with distinct and cool action stunts, and Ma Dong Seok, who has already created a name for himself across the country and abroad, are curious about what synergy they will create in teaming up for "Badland Hunters."

Upon confirming its release on Netflix, the company also named the stars who will appear in the "Badland Hunters."

Joining Ma Dong Seok is K-drama lead actor Lee Jun Young, who was loved for his solid acting through the Netflix series "Mask Girl," "D.P.", and the movie "Brave Citizen," which will show fresh performances through this project.

"Our Beloved Summer" actress Roh Jeong Eui is also confirmed to star in the movie. Her appearance raises expectations already ahead of the movie's release.

Lastly, completing the cast is none other than veteran actor Lee Hee Jun. Furthermore, the filming production will begin earnestly and the scheduled date of release is yet to be announced.

"Badland Hunters" is said to be the sequel to the movie "Concrete Utopia," which received recognition abroad. Lead actress Park Bo Young even won the Best Actor Award at the 8th London Asian Film Festival for her performance in the movie.
