Im Siwan's biographical sports film "Road To Boston" is celebrating a new milestone.
On November 9, the Korean Film Council announced that the film officially recorded 1 million moviegoers, a month after its premiere.
"Road To Boston," which was first released theatrically in September, becomes the 11th South Korean film released in 2023 to surpass the 1 million mark at the box office.
It's based on the true story of South Korean athletes that participated in the 1947 Boston International Marathon after World War II where marathon runners liberated themselves from colonization.
Following its growing success, the production team of "Road To Boston" projects to reach 3 million in the coming days before it finally ends its theater screening.
