Ahead of the much awaited silver screen premiere of "Single In Seoul," the lead couple Lee Dong Wook and Lim Soo Jung talked about the new work in an interview.

It depicts the realistic romance between a popular influencer and an editor-in-chief who have contrasting personalities as they cross paths while working on a book about singleness.

Lee Dong Wook plays Young Ho, a writer and an influencer who enjoys being alone while Im Soo Jung portrays the vivacious Hyun Jin, a publishing company editor who hates being alone.

By immersing in his character, Lee Dong Wook realized that he's like Young Ho in real life. Both of them live alone and have been single for a while, giving the actor a strong sense of connection.

Lim Soo Jung finds resonance from her character Hyun Jin who has a great passion for her job. Although they have different personalities, their commitment to their jobs is impeccable.

"I really wanted to act with Lim Soo Jung," Lee Dong Wook confessed. "I'm honored to have this opportunity to work with a very meticulous and experienced actress."

Lim Soo Jung returned the compliment by saying, "Lee Dong Wook isn't only a great actor with a wide acting spectrum but he's also a man with a pleasant personality and attitude."

Lee Dong Wook and Lim Soo Jung described "Single In Seoul" as a realistic narrative about two people who gradually find resonance with one another.

Because their characters have their own hidden secrets, curiosity among the fans is raised. Lee Dong Wook feels the same way about the work.

"Since we only have glimpses of the film, we all have blurry thoughts and imaginations just like in romance," he said. "I think we all have such memories of the past."

Lim Soo Jung, who's like an enigma to fans, shared that the work emphasized that like her personality, opening the heart is a natural yet a long and painful process.

"I've starred in countless romance dramas but I loved how the two characters in the film opened their hearts little by little," the actress said. "It's refreshing and realistic."
