Ahn Eun Jin talked about her experience filming the 2-part K-drama "My Dearest."

Along with Namgoong Min, the historical-romance series has received favorable reviews and an impressive rating throughout the season.

After wrapping up the second part of the series, Ahn Eun Jin had an interview with a local media outlet to discuss the recently concluded K-drama.

Ahn Eun Jin Says She Lost Weight While Filming 'My Dearest'

The 32-year-old actress spoke about the physical changes she experienced during the production of "My Dearest."

According to her, she "lost a lot of weight" in the middle of the filming, but she explained that it was intentional.

"I couldn't remember how much weight I lost, but my face really became thinner. I began to lose weight from the scene where I was brought to the prisoner market because I wanted my face to look rough," she said, as obtained by a news outlet.

In "My Dearest," Ahn Eun Jin played the role of Yoo Gil Chae, a noblewoman who experienced a challenging situation in the middle of war.

Amid this, she met the mysterious man named Lee Jang Hyun, portrayed by Namgoong Min.

Ahn Eun Jin Talks About Miscasting Issue

Taking on the lead role, Ahn Eun Jin talks about recalling the time when she received the script to play the role of Yoo Gil Chae.

According to her, she had a discussion with the writer and director regarding the growth of her character.

In addition to this, Ahn Eun Jin briefly talked about the controversy regarding the miscasting issue, portraying the role of a noblewoman.

"I wanted the viewers to know that Gil-chae was immature at the beginning of the drama, so I wanted her to look lovely and cute at that time," she said, explaining the growth of her character.

"My Dearest," Part 1, was released in August 2023, where it received overwhelming responses from the public.

After wrapping up part 1 in September, the MBC series returned for part 2 in October, continuing the favorable reviews from viewers.

The actress also shared the wrap-up party they had with the whole team and mentioned that they stayed until 3 a.m. Without a single member of the team, they shed tears as they ended the party happily.

Following the historical K-drama, Ahn Eun Jin joins the Netflix series "Goodbye Earth."

However, the release of the series is still on hold since Yoo Ah In, who is among the lead stars, is undergoing an investigation for a violation of the narcotics act.

Other than this, Ahn Eun Jin is also in talks to join the upcoming movie "Citizen of a Kind" with Ra Mi Ran and Gong Myung.
