On December 12, Lee Se Young and Bae In Hyuk's "The Story of Park's Marriage Contract" made headlines after its production team was called out for plagiarism.

A hanbok (Korean traditional clothing) company called Hanbok Leesle raised their concerns after the newest episode was released. According to them, their hanbok designs were stolen.

Lee Se Young, who plays a fashion enthusiast in the show, presented the designs as her own, which left a bad taste in the public's eye.

"It's our collection at the Milan Fashion Week," Hwang Yi Seol, the CEO, stated. "We would have been happy if they had asked to officially use it in a scene that just passes by quickly."

Fans expressed their disappointment with the series, saying, "Even though they're just props, they should have asked for permission. It's a big mistake."

In addition, the CEO said that she would have let them use her designs free of charge had the drama team reached out to them, emphasizing the importance of proper communication.

'The Story of Park's Marriage Contract' Apologizes For Plagiarism Issue

In the late afternoon of December 12, Hwang Yi Seol updated the public, saying that the showrunners of "The Story of Park's Marriage Contract" apologized to her.

In addition, an official statement was also released, asking for the company's forgiveness and understanding. They also said that they reached an amicable agreement to credit the source.

"The Story of Park's Marriage Contract" team also mentioned a communication error, clarifying that the design was unintentionally used. They ask for the public's understanding as well.
