Park Hyung Sik Comments on Wearing School Uniform: ‘I feel like I’m committing a…’

Park Shin Hye & Park Hyung Sik Share Experience Working on 'Doctor Slump'

In the press conference held on January 25 for the series "Doctor Slump," lead stars Park Hyung Sik and Park Shin Hye shared more behind-the-scenes stories of their experiences working on the project. 

"Doctor Slump" is a romance comedy series that depicts the story of former school rivals Yeo Jung Woo and Nam Ha Neul, who crossed paths again after 14 years. 

The two will reunite after almost a decade following their first drama together "The Heirs." Since it is a reunion project for Park Hyung Sik and Park Shin Hye, they were also excited to see each other.

In the middle of the interview, it was mentioned that the main protagonists will appear in the drama wearing school uniforms. The lead stars then shared their opinions about it and revealed funny anecdotes regarding the uniforms.

Park Shin Hye Worries Wearing School Uniform

According to Park Shin Hye, she expected that she would just appear for about 1-2 minutes in the flashback scene while wearing the school uniform. But later on, she found out that she needed more scenes wearing the mentioned wardrobe.

"I wore school uniforms for quite a long time while filming, so I was worried about whether it would be okay."

Park Hyung Sik Feels Like Committing Crime While in School Uniform

Park Hyung Sik, on the other hand, made a hilarious comment on wearing a school uniform.

"I feel like I'm committing a crime for no reason." Park Shin Hye then agreed to him and shyly said, "That's right. I asked the ages of the minor actors on set, and they either just graduated from high school or are currently in high school. I thought I should stop wearing uniform now."

Park Hyung Sik added, "It is difficult to judge. I don't think I can wear the school uniform anymore, but people around me say I can still wear it, so how long should I wear it." Then the host of the event funnily commented, "The viewers will decide."

Furthermore, catch Park Hyung Sik and Park Shin Hye's much-awaited reunion beginning January 27 in "Doctor Slump." It will premiere on JTBC at 10:30 p.m. (KST).
