'Queen of Tears' Continues to Impress & Achieve New Records

The weekend series "Queen of Tears" achieved its first double-digit rating with its latest episode, proving is popularity.

As the story progresses, Baek Hyun Woo (Kim Soo Hyun) and Hong Hae In (Kim Ji Won), who have been married for three years, begin to feel sparks again in their relationship.

"Queen of Tears," one of the highly anticipated dramas this 2024, is lauded for its star-studded cast and amazing storyline.

Renowned writer Park Ji Eun (who penned the hit series "Crash Landing on You") and directors Jang Young Woo and Kim Hee Won (who also previously worked on "CLOY) reunited in this project.

Kim Soo Hyun, who appeared in Park Ji Eun's K-Dramas "My Love From the Star" and "The Producers," made his cameo in "Crash Landing on You," reprising his role in the 2013 movie "Secretly, Greatly."

Reminiscing the iconic cameo, K-drama fans are hoping to see "Crash Landing on You" couple Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, would also make their appearances in "Queen of Tears."

But while the celebrity couple didn't cameo as fans expected so far, they did receive a shoutout in the recent drama episode.

Hyun Bin & Son Ye Jin Receive Special Shoutout in 'Queen of Tears' Episode 4

In "Queen of Tears" episode 4, Baek Hyun Woo meets with his lawyer friend Kim Yang Ki (Moon Tae Yu), whom he always talks to, to vent out his personal problems, particularly his marriage.

To recall, he wanted to divorce his wife Hong Hae In, but when he learned that she only had three months to live, he decided to hold off. Instead, he started to become a devoted husband so she would change her will and include him.

However, in the process of caring for her, Baek Hyun Woo doesn't realize he is falling in love with Hae In again.

On the other hand, his friend, Kim Yang Ki, has become suspicious that this is the case. In the said episode, Hyun Woo confessed to buying his wife a pair of comfortable shoes. Yang Ki blurted the situation to that of actors who fall in love with each other in real life after working together on a project.

In relation to this, Yang Ki mentioned "Crash Landing on You" stars and now power couple Hyun Jin and Son Ye Jin, who famously married each other in real life after working in K-drama.

With this unexpected shoutout, K-drama fans are excited and looking forward to more special cameos and shoutouts happening in the upcoming episodes.

In episode 1, Kim Soo Hyun's former "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" co-star Oh Jung Se already made his special appearance and fans are now anticipating Song Joong Ki's cameo, which the production confirmed ahead of the series' debut.
