Kim Sejeong Offers To Star in New Rom-Com Drama 'In the Name of Alcohol'

While busy with her solo activities from music to brand endorsements, Kim Sejeong delivered good news to fans on April 5 as a media outlet announced that she is in talks for another lead drama role. 

According to the news, the "Uncanny Counter" actress is in discussion to play the main protagonist of the upcoming series "In the Name of Alcohol" (working title).

The rom-com drama "In the Name of Alcohol" follows the story of a female sales representative of a liquor company and a local brewer. 

Lee Jong Won Considering Joining Kim Sejeong in Upcoming K-Drama

Adding to the drama's information, another star is reportedly to join Kim Sejeong as the main lead. He is none other than Lee Jong Won, one of the rising actors in his generation. He just concluded his historical-romance series alongside Lee Honey "Knight Flower."

In response to the news, his agency, THEBLACKLABEL revealed that the actor has received a casting offer and is currently reviewing the script. It has been said that Lee Jong Won has been offered to portray the role of the male lead, who brews beer. 

"In the Name of Alcohol" is in talks to be produced by ENA Channel. Other details about the series are still in discussion. Hence, when Kim Sejeong and Lee Jong Won accept the offers, it will mark their first drama collaboration. 

Who is Rising Actor Lee Jong Won

Lee Jong Won, who is carving his name in the industry, is expected to bring synergy with Kim Sejeong. 

He debuted in 2018 through the series "Go, Back Diary" and has been building his acting career step by step through "The School Nurse Files," "The Spies Who Loved Me," "Hospital Playlist 2," and "The Golden Spoon," in which he bagged his first Best New Actor trophy.

The young actor left an impressive mark on viewers with his latest work "Knight Flower." He received favorable reviews for his portrayal from action, and romance to comedy in his first historical series.
