Actor Jeon Ho-jun, caught up in a scandal with charges made by his former girlfriend, said on Monday that he will resume his work with caution.

Jeon was charged by his former boyfriend, Ms. A, with assault, blackmailing a huge amount of money under the guise of marriage, and infecting him with a sexually transmitted disease.

Ms. A alleged that she met Jeon while he was drunk and was physically attacked.

Jeon, at the time, had refused to confirm the assault, claiming it happened when he was "trying to stop A from trespassing into my home in the early morning hours."

The musical actor, who has been on leave since allegations against him emerged, uploaded a statement on his private account on August 11.

"Something big happened to me, and I haven't used Instagram since," Jeon posted. "The case is going through legal proceedings. If I did anything wrong, I will definitely take responsibility."

He continued, "I have to live my life, so I am returning here cautiously. I will live diligently and honestly."

In his statement, Jeon thanked all those who have been supportive of him, vowing to work diligently and restart his career despite the continuous legal fight.
