Within only four episodes, TV Chosun has revealed a big change in programming for its weekend drama "Confidence Queen," top-billed by actress Park Min-young.

Last September 15, the network posted through its official social media that the drama would be moved from its initial 9:10 p.m. time slot to a later 10:30 p.m. airing. The move follows the series' slow start in ratings.
In the announcement, TV Chosun declared, "Confidence Man KR will air at 10:30 p.m. starting this weekend. We appreciate viewers' understanding."
The decision comes after a sharp decline in ratings. Nielsen Korea reported that the drama started with a humble 1.1% viewership rating across the nation among paid homes.
While episode two slightly increased to 1.5%, episode three dipped down to 1.0%, and episode four went as low as 0.9%.

At the same time, its closest competition on tvN, "Bon Appétit, Your Majesty," featuring Im Yoon-ah, has been running away with the ratings war.

At 4.9% in its first episode, the drama shot up fast, recently reaching an all-time high of 15.4% by episode eight, and is said to be continuing on its path towards breaking the 20% mark.
The aggressive competition between the two weekend dramas has made the difference in performance impossible to overlook.
As one industry insider observed, "Going head-to-head with a breakout hit like Tyrant's Chef was always going to be risky.."
"Confidence Queen" is a drama about three quirky credit scammers who concoct innovative schemes to con the greedy and corrupt.
The series is Park Min-young's first Korean TV show since the success of "Marry My Husband."

Despite the disappointing reception, it has raised eyebrows on programming strategy and whether Park's popularity alone can drive a series in a growing, competitive drama market.
As the time slot change takes effect, audiences and critics alike await to see if the drama can catch up or continue to lag.
