Actress and radio personality Ji Ye Eun has gone on a temporary hiatus from work owing to health issues.
On October 14, several publications announced that the performer had been showing signs of chronic exhaustion and poor physical health, leading her to seek a medical checkup.
As reported by Koreaboo, Ji Ye Eun was diagnosed with hypothyroidism after undergoing tests in the hospital and has already begun treatment.
The condition occurs when the thyroid is not producing sufficient hormones, which could contribute to a sense of tiredness, weakness, and other impacts that can reduce your energy level.
Her management agency issued an official statement regarding her health and recovery plans.
"Ji Ye Eun will focus on her recovery starting in September. We will do our best to support her in full recovery through rest," the agency explained.

An official from the broadcast provided an update on her situation and plans moving forward.
"Ji Ye Eun is recovering significantly through medication and rest. While a specific comeback date has not been set, she plans to resume activities after her recovery," said the official.
In the meantime, Korean news publication Insight reported that Ji Ye Eun has been undergoing treatment and resting after her diagnosis.
According to the report, her choice to stop her activities was for health reasons and so she could fully recover before returning to her usual routine.
Veteran host Yoo Jae Suk also confirmed fans about her health condition during a recent episode of SBS's Running Man, where Ji Ye Eun is a regular face.
"Ye Eun is undergoing treatment for a short period of time. She was reportedly suffering from burnout, but it's not true. Her health checkup results show that she needs treatment, so she's taking a break," Yoo stated.
After the news broke, fans and colleagues in the industry took to social media to send messages of encouragement and good wishes, wishing for Ji Ye Eun to recover quickly and come back to her energetic self.
Up to now, Ji Ye Eun's agency reiterated that her health and rest are the priority number one before any talk of getting back to her entertainment life.
