ENA's new hit drama "Ms. Incognito" has become a ratings darling in no time, becoming a top threat to unseat the channel's beloved series "Extraordinary Attorney Woo".

Since its first broadcast on September 29, "Ms. Incognito" has generated an impressive upsurge in popularity. The show kicked off with 2.4% viewership, beating "Extraordinary Attorney Woo's" 0.9% premiere.
By the fifth episode, the audience had reached 5.9%, and further episodes recorded an amazing 5.6%, according to Nielsen Korea via KBZoom.
The October 21 episode kept viewers at the edge of their seats after lead character Kim Young-ran (Jeon Yeo-been) was ambushed by hired killer Gil Ho-se (Yang Kyung-won), who was dispatched by Ga Sun-young (Jang Yoon-ju). Disguised as a kindergarten shuttle driver, Gil entered Young-ran's home with weapons and drugs, which resulted in a tense scene that also threatened Baek Hye-ji (Joo Hyun-young).

Jeon Yeo-been's performance has been one of the best highlights, bringing depth to Kim Young-ran's emotional depth. In a scene as narrated by KBZoom, the actress conveyed tears and outrage when she dropped her drunken mother off at a police station with great force, followed by a tender moment between her and Jeon Dong-min (Jinyoung) which showed her emotional change.
The actors and staff have made loud claims about the success of the show. During a press conference on September 22, director Park Yoo-young testified, "If the buzz spreads, I want to reach 10%."
Actor Seo Hyun-woo boldly added, "I'm aiming for 17% or higher."
Jang Yoon-ju confidently declared, however, "If we're saying it, let's go big — I want to beat Extraordinary Attorney Woo."
Jang also explained the emotional exhaustion that came with her part, speaking with the source, "In 10 years of acting since Veteran (2015), I've never felt such empathy and affection for a role. Whether or not the viewers connect, I truly loved Ga Sun-young."
Director Park classified "Ms. Incognito" as a genre-mixed production: "Viewers might be surprised at first. We start with crime, transition to romance, and finish with heartfelt human drama. Compared to The Kidnapping Day, this ending will be even more emotional."
The show revolves around the life of a chaebol chairman with a terminal illness and his loyal bodyguard, who agree to a contract marriage and ask her to hide her identity for three months. "Ms. Incognito" is broadcast Mondays and Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on ENA and is available for free streaming on KT Genie TV and TVING.
