A credit card theft involving actress Jeon Hye Bin's husband that had resulted in damages worth roughly $10,000 has been resolved with the arrest of an international theft ring in Indonesia, the authorities said.

Indonesian media confirmed that the group behind the attack had ten members who targeted at least five foreign nationals from Korea and China. ChosunBiz reported that the credit cards were used to funnel money into overseas accounts.
On social media, she wrote in October, "My card was stolen here (in Ubud, Indonesia), and 15 million KRW($10,000) was charged..." She also attached a map showing the area where the theft occurred.

Jeon Hye Bin took it a notch further to caution travelers over the speed of the crime. She then emphasized, "Everyone staying in Ubud or planning to travel here, please be careful. Everything happened within ten minutes of losing the card"
Allkpop pointed out that the thieves were of Indonesian, Chinese, and Mongolian nationality, adding an international scope to the theft. The arrests came after local authorities managed to trace the transfers of the stolen money.
The family background of the actress was also featured in the reports. ChosunBiz recalled that Jeon Hye Bin married a dentist who is two years older than her in 2019 and had their son last September 2022. The incident did not deter her from continuing to be active in the entertainment world.
Netizens reacted to the news with a mixture of relief and sympathy. "I'm glad the thieves were caught. Traveling abroad is always risky, and it's scary when someone targets celebrities like this." Another wrote, "Hopefully this serves as a warning for everyone to be extra careful with their cards."
The case proves how much caution is needed when traveling, as celebrity private lives are more exposed to the public. According to Allkpop, police investigations into the group's activities continue with the hope of limiting such crimes in the future.
