Lee Yi Kyung's alleged misappropriated conduct in his private life evolved into an emotional issue for many followers when an individual from Germany who claimed Yi Kyung acted inappropriately filed a case against Yi Kyung, alleging Yi Kyung had defamed her.

New evidence (including possible telephone records) has come to light and have continued to generate media interest as the debate continues.
On January 4, 2026, KST, the woman, who was only known as "A," posted another statement on her social media account about her latest claims.
She says that the argument got worse after she shared new evidence that she says backs up her claims. Entertainment media and online communities have been keeping a close eye on the situation because it keeps changing and has legal consequences.

In her post, A talked about earlier conversations she had with the actor's agency. She then wrote, "I previously mentioned that I sent an email to the actor's agency in May with captures regarding his sexual remarks and photos. Today, I am releasing logs showing that the actor attempted to contact me via VoiceTalk."

Allkpop reported that A also shared screenshots of calls and messages that she said were sent to friends as proof.
Another person said that Lee Yi Kyung said things that she thought were threatening during their fight. She told him how she understood what he said before quoting him. She said he told her, "Since you sent an email to our office, your identity will be revealed. Are you okay with that? This is a crime that can be investigated by hiring a lawyer." Later, she said, "His comments were delivered in a menacing way, implying my personal information would be exposed while he avoided responsibility for his previous sexual harassment."
A says that Lee Yi Kyung called her right after she emailed his agency, even though she didn't tell him she was doing that. She talked about how the exchange affected her emotionally after making those claims. Then she quoted him as saying, "Now I might have to meet with reporters because of you," and, "I thought of you as a close younger sister and shared my daily life with you for a long time; why did you do this?"
A said that she had to take back some of her earlier statements because of psychological pressure. She said, "I cannot submit the entire conversation because I switched mobile phones, and the chat room is not on my current device." She also said that the screenshots were not altered and said, 'If he wishes to uncover the truth, I request that he cooperate faithfully with future digital forensic procedures."
She also said that she is getting ready to take legal action with help from her embassy. The Chosun Daily said that Lee Yi Kyung's lawyers have already filed a defamation lawsuit and are waiting for the results of the investigation.
