Singer and actor Rain is on his way to New Orleans to film scenes for his upcoming film "The Prince" with co-star Bruce Willis. The film's tight production schedule left him only a few weeks to promote "Rain Effect," his recently released album.

"Rain Effect" was Rain's sixth full-length album and his first in four years. He spent two of those years between albums performing his mandatory military service. The album proved that Rain has lost none of his star appeal. The album's electric songs "30 Sexy" and "LA Song" quickly climbed the charts.

Before he left for LA, Rain had to film a final episode of his television reality show, which is also titled "Rain Effect." The show was created to give viewers an inside look into the private life of the mega-celebrity, whose real name is Jung Ji Hoon. But at one point the filming of the final episode had to stop because Rain began to cry. It wasn't the thought of leaving Korea or being overwhelmed by his busy schedule that brought on the tears.

He began to cry when he received a video message of support from his friends and his father.

"When we were filming Rain's concert with fans for the last episode, we played a surprise video clip for him," said a member of the show's production staff. "Rain, upon watching the video, couldn't help but burst out crying. The video featured messages sent from his friends as well as one from his father. Rain especially cried a lot when he watched his father on screen, which none of us expected."

The episode will be aired on January 23.

"The Prince" is a gangster film starring Bruce Willis, John Cusack, Jason Patric and rapper Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson. In the film a retired crime boss is forced to return to the crime world when his daughter is kidnapped. The film will be released in 2014.

While Rain is in the U.S. he will also meet with producers in Hollywood to discuss two other film projects.

American actor John Goodman once called Rain "the hardest working actor in show business." Rain has been phenomenally successful but he worked hard for every minute of his success.

When he performed his final concert in Seoul before fulfilling his military duty, he cried on stage because he would not be seeing his fans for a while. His fans cried too.
