Song Seung Hoon Sweetly Praises His "Obsessed" Co-Star

When Lim Ji Yeon took the role of Song Seung Hoon's lover in the film "Obsessed," she had no acting experience other than studying acting at Korea National Academy of Arts.

It was not easy starring in her first film, working with an A-list actor such as Song Seung Hoon, and even having to film a bed scene with him.

"It would be a lie to say that I didn't feel pressured," the actress told enewsworld.

But her lack of acting experience did not prove to be a problem and Song Seung Hoon had nothing but praise for his rookie co-star.

"She has that something," he said.

Her character Jong Ga Heun was not an easy character to play and Lim Ji Yeon tried to puzzle out her motivation.

"She is like a bird inside a cage," Lim said. "She can open the cage and go out but she chooses to close the cage in the end. It was hard to understand, but I tried to imagine the situation she was in and understand her."

According to Song Seung Hoon, she did an excellent job.

"Despite the fact that "Obsessed' is her first movie, Lim Ji Yeon seems so natural at it," he said. "It's as if she knows how to shine already. I was surprised at her several times. She's blessed and in a way that's exactly how a girl her age should be. If you see her anywhere else, she's a baby."

In the Vietnam-era film she plays a woman who falls for her husband's married senior officer. They start a scandalous affair. Lim Ji Yeon said much of the pressure she felt came from how new everything felt. Fortunately everyone on set helped her to create the character.

"I am grateful for director Kim Dae Woo and Song Seung Heon for their consideration," she said. "They even took care of my costume and make up. I shouldn't have worried so much because it wasn't too difficult."

When watching her act, Song Seung Hoon, 37, was reminded of his own rookie days.

"I just felt like she was going to be a great actress," he said. "I've seen so many people doing this job and I can honestly say that I know what kind of an actress or actor they will be when I first see them. She's also really nice."

He also found her very appealing.

 "She has a remarkable aura," he said. "She might not know this yet but she's very attractive."

The story of forbidden love premiered this week and is doing well at the box office. "Obsessed" also features the first bed scene Song Seung Hoon has played in his almost 20-year career.
