On the 9th of August, MBC aired a special broadcast 'How to Enjoy Arang and the Magistrate 100 Times More' and revealed the secret behind Shin Min Ah's tattoo on her neck.
Arang (played by Shin Min Ah) is a young female ghost who is staying in the human world because she is trying to figure out the truth behind her death. The tattoo on her neck is supposed to be a sort of identification card of the ghost world.
Kim Sang Ho who is the PD of 'Arang and the Magistrate' revealed, "Although the ghosts in this drama are not the typical kind of ghosts but since they are still ghosts, we drew the tattoo to emphasize their difference with humans."
After the secret behind Shin Min Ah's tattoo was revealed, netizens replied, "Shin Min ah's tattoo was revealed. I'm looking forward to 'Arang and the Magistrate,'" "Should I get one too? Do I become a ghost too if I get a tattoo?" "It's pretty cool."
