Jo Seung Woo has explained that even though it had been 14 years since he debuted, he has never acted in a drama because the filming is so difficult.

On the 24th, the press conference for MBC's new Monday-Tuesday drama, "Horse Doctor", took place in Yongin city, Gyunggi-do at MBC Dramia. Jo Seung Woo mentioned that after he debuted in a movie, he subsequently appeared in musicals and movies, but that this was his first time acting in a drama.

He said, "I didn't act in dramas because I heard that you don't get to sleep or eat. They said that filming might change your character so I only consistently appeared in musicals and movies," explaining the reason why he did not appear in dramas.

Jo Seung Woo said that he picked "Horse Doctor" as his first drama in 14 years because he "enjoyed watching 'Hur Jun'." He also told a story about how his fans asked him to film a drama.

Jo Seung Woo plays the character, "Park Kwang Hyun", who starts off as a lowly horse veterinarian and later becomes a royal physician as the first surgeon in oriental medicine in the Joseon Era.

The drama is about Park Kwang Hyun, an actual historical figure, and will describe all the ups and downs of his life and the profound world of medicine.  "Horse Doctor" will be directed by PD Lee Byung Hoon and the script will be written by writer Kim Yi Young. PD Lee Byung Hoon also directed "Hur Jun", "Sang Do", "Dae Jang Geum", "Yi San", "Dong Yi", etc., while writer Kim Yi Young wrote for "Lee San" and "Dong Yi". Their new drama, "Horse Doctor", will air on the first of October after "Golden Time" ends.
