‘Kangnam 1970’ director discusses retro films

Director Yoo Ha of Hallyu star Lee Min Ho's upcoming film 'Kangnam 1970' discussed retro films, including his film and the recently premiered retro film, 'International Market,'

Director Yoo Ha, along with the actors and actresses who star in the film, attended the press release of 'Kangnam 1970,' and shared their thoughts on the film. On this day, director Yoo Ha discussed his thoughts on films based on the old times. He said, "Retro films, such as 'International Market' and 'Kangnam 1970,' are not just films about nostalgia. Through 'Kangnam 1970,' I tried to reflect the reality of 2010s through the lives of people in the 1970s." In related news, 'Kangnam 1970' is Lee Min Ho's debut film. It is an action noir movie based on the realities of Kangnam, a district of Seoul, in the 1970s. It tells a story of the development of Seoul in the 1970s, and will premiere on January 21, 2015, in Korea.
