“Miracle in Cell #7” Has Been Viewed By More than10 Million People

“Miracle in Cell #7” has been hit in the Korean box office.

On the weekend of Feb 22-24, “Miracle in Cell #7” broke the 10 million mark, in only a month after being released.

The movie recorded 855,942 tickets sales, coming at second after "The New Wolrd," over the weekend for a grand total of 10,386,787 admissions.

This makes the movie, the 8th Korean movie to surpass the 10 million mark. It was also reported that the movie has earned 10 times its costs of 3.5 billion won.

The movie directed by Lee Hwan Kyung, and starring Ryoo Seung Ryong, Park Shin Hye, and child actress Kal So Won, is about a mental incapable father who is sent to prison for a crime he didnt commint. His ultamate dream is to see his daughter, but the prision he is being held at has a 'no visitor' rule, there his cell mates come up with a plan to sneak his daughter in.

Directo Lee Hwan Kyung said that “It feels like I am dreaming” due to the film's great success.
