Kdrama Actors With Famous Siblings
A few kdrama actors have famous siblings that also work in a related field. It can't hurt. That's not to say these stars don't have plenty of talent of their own but being related to someone famous is a good way to at least get to the audition. And in some cases it's a sure road to stardom.
Here are a few actors that have star siblings.
Ha jI Won is not the only member of her family to star in a historical drama at the moment. Her brother Jeon Tae Soo played Nam Hyuk in "Cruel Palace: War of the Flowers" and plays Jin Moo in another historical drama, "King's Daughter. He has been acting for the past five years, appearing in "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" and "It's Okay Daddy's Girl." Ha Ji Won's real name is Jeon Hae Rim.
2NE1's Sandara Park was already not the only kpop idol in her family. Her brother Thunder was a member of the boy band MBLAQ but this year he also tried his first acting role as Jin in "Nail Shop Paris."
Uhm Tae Woong, who appeared in the films "Cyrano Dating Agency" and "Architecture 101" and the dramas "man From The Equator" and "The Blade and the Petal" also has a famous older sister. Uhm Jung Hwa, known as the Madonna of Korea, started her career as a singer but became in actress. She can be seen next year in the film "The Law of Pleasures."
Kim Tae Hee's younger brother Lee Wan appeared in several dramas between 2003 and 2009, most notably "Swallow The Sun." he served his military duty between 2010 and 2012 and recently starred in a web series. Each of the six episodes of "It's Not Over Yet" is about 10 minutes long and can be seen on youtube, Facebook and other social media sites.
Krystal Jung of the girl group f(x) and Jessica Jung of Girls Generation are sisters who achieved fame first in kpop but are now also actresses. Krystal now plays Lee Bo Na, Lee Min Ho's ex-girlfriend in the series "The Heirs." She previously played Ahn Soo Jung in "High Kick: Revenge of the Short Legged." Jessica played Kang Jong Hee in eight episodes of the drama "Wild Romance." Jessica has also performed in musical theater, notably appearing in the show "Legally Blonde" with Jung Eun Ji and Choi Woo Ri.
Ryu Seung Bun, who appears in the films "New World" and "The Berlin File" had his debut in a film made by his brother filmmaker Ryu Seung Wan. He went on to appear in more films and music videos shot by his brother, including "Dachimawa Lee" and this year's "The Berlin File."
