tvN's "Hospital Playlist" Soars To Highest Ratings on its Finale + Cast Reveals Season 2
Director Shin Won Ho captivated the viewers with extraordinary medical drama, tVN's "Hospital Playlist,'' which capped off its season 1 with high viewership ratings!
Nielsen Korea released the data showing the drama series steadily rose in ratings with each passing episode. The last finale episode, shown on May 28, for season 1, reached 14.1% viewership. It gained a 1 point increase from its previous episode. The series continued to gain popularity since its premiere last March.
Viewers are now ecstatic to know that season 2 is on the way to continue seeing how the lives of the lead characters will unfold.
The cast shared their thoughts of their experience with the drama series.
Jo Jung Suk, in character as Dr. Ik Jun, is a popular professor and assistant general surgeon. He shared, "I had really happy and enjoyable moments."
He went on, "Being able to play the bright and famous character, IK Jun, by getting to meet great staff, actors, and the production team through a drama, was like a blessing. Yoo Yeon Seok, in character as Dr. Jung Won, is a pediatric surgeon whose wealth and religious background provides him more chances to help others.
He was quoted saying, "Sincere thanks for the huge love and support. I was blissful during these seven months. Our Mi Do and Parasol members - we were perfect partners. Let's frequently meet for band practice. While it's saddening that the first season is ending, I'm excited and anticipating our meeting again soon with season 2."
Jung Kyung Ho, in character as Dr. Jung Wan, is a chief professor of cardiothoracic surgery.
Like his fellow cast members, he is thankful for the audience and expressed, "We finished season one with grateful mindsets. It's a reassuring drama since it's not yet the end. To Mi Do and Parasol, I feel like we capped off an entire series while just laughing. It's a relief to think that we were able to meet each other, at least."

Kim Dae Myung, in character as Suk Hyung, is the silent and sweet doctor and an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology.

Jeon Mi Do, in character as Dr. Song Hwa, is the only lady and anchor among her friends, and an associate professor of neurosurgery. She is kind to her subordinates and serves as an inspiration to the young aspiring doctors in the hospital and the love interest of Suk Hyung that never succeeded. Ik Jun, on the other hand, wishes to make it happen after keeping his feelings for her since their college days.
Jeon Mi Do stated, "I can't believe it's already the finale. Thanks for giving us profuse love. Although it's saddening, we still have second season!"
