Viewers Critisized JTBC's Drama '18 Again' For The Kissing Scene of 17-Year-Gap On-screen Couple Lee Dohyun and Kim Haneul
JTBC's Mon-Tue drama titled "18 Again" shocked their audience with the deep and affectionate kiss scene of lead stars Kim Ha Neul and Lee Do Hyun at the end of the latest episode.
In the show's episode 11 which was aired last October 26 labeled "Losing Love", it showcased the deepening affection between Kim Ha Neul playing as Jung Da Jung and Lee Do Hyun starring as Go Woo Young after they got carried away by their feelings. Though, the viewers' hearts were touched, many people think that the drama has gone too far, since many fans were shocked to see an unexpected kiss scene between Hong Daeyoung and Jung Dajung.

In this drama, Hong Daeyoung was given the chance to go back in the past that resulted to his wife Jung Dajung being far older than him. In order to portray their complicated love story, the on screen couple was given a deep and affectionate kiss scene for the drama's interesting story. However, sad to say that most viewers think that the said scene was not appropriate for the reason that the lead stars have a huge age gap and also Lee Do Hyun's character was only a high school student when he had a kiss scene with Kim Ha Neul's character.
Nevertheless, some fans defended the lead stars and explained that it was just a fiction drama. It only makes the story even more interesting. People should not take it too seriously. '18 Again' centers its story on two characters, Jung Da-jung (Kim Ha-neul) and Hong Dae-young (Yoon Sang-Hyun), who are a married couple with their set of twins Hong Shi-ah (Roh Jeong-eui) and Hong Shi-woo (Ryeoun). Though they got married at a very young age and having low income, they were a happily married couple. Yes passed, their happy marriage started collapsing when 37-year-old Da jung became fed up with her life and decided to leave her husband as she files for a divorce.

Dae-young's life turns more miserable when he got fired from his job. He feels completely down and looks at himself like a worthless human being, he started to regret everything that happened to his life. During this time, his body started to change into that of an 18-year-old year old person but his mind remains as his 37-year-old self. With his new young body, Hong Dae-young start living a new life under a new identity as an 18-year-old boy named Ko Woo-Young and attends high school in his old school where his children also goes to study. There, he starts to realize a lot of things with his family and decided to use this chance to protect his kids most especially his son who is being bullied in school. Hong Dae-young will do his best to be more present to the family, even if he's inside an 18-year-old body.
