Sandara Park, Super Junior’s Ryeowook, & More Gear Up for New Sitcom ‘ON AIR - The Secret Contract’
New forthcoming and star-studded sitcom is about to go on air this March!
Some of your favorite Korean idols will be teaming up for an exciting never-before-seen live sitcom. "ON AIR - The Secret Contract" is a new definition of a new interactive show with a spin-off sitcom and radio show into a theater performance. The upcoming play will be co-produced by LG Uplus and musical production company Shinswave. The producing director of "SNL Korea" Yoo Sung Mo, is set to have a participation in directing the forthcoming project.
"ON AIR - The Secret Contract" Has A Romantic Comedy Genre
"ON AIR - The Secret Contract" is said to be an interactive show where the cast will be accepting and reading comments from fans in real-time and directly communicate with them through online and offline audiences. To make it more interesting, each episode will talk about different stories, and surprise guests will have appearances to deliver special performances live and to make little interaction with the cast and the viewers. The live show is expected to run from March 20 to April 18 at Kwanglim Arts Center in Seoul.
After announcing the new project, fans were curious about how the stories will unfold. This will be the first time for most of the viewers to watch this kind of performance. "ON AIR - The Secret Contract" is a romantic comedy genre that will depict the story of DJ Aaron, one of the famous idols but is arrogant, and a writer named Shin Woo Ri, the only person who knows the secret of DJ Aaron.
Star-studded Sitcom With Surprise Guests Appearances
On March 4, the star-studded lineup was finally revealed. Starting from the male leads such as Super Junior's Ryeowook, VICTION's Seungsik, UP10TION's Lee Jin Hyuk, and Golden Child's Joochan. They will be turning roles as the male lead DJ Aaron. The Super Junior member has already proved his talent both in singing and acting through various musical projects, and Golden Child's Joochan recently just debuted on the musical stage with "Sonata of a Flame," a play where Ryeowook was also part of. While Seungsik and Lee Ji Hyuk will be having their first theatrical debut in the forthcoming project "ON AIR - The Secret Contract."
Korean star Sandara Park will also be making it to the theater stage as she is expected to portray the role of the female lead Shin Woo Ri, joining her is musical actress Jeon Ye Ji. It has been said that Sandara Park is active in doing theater projects and TV shows, making her fit for the role.
Lee Se Young and Crayon Pop's Choa will be playing the role of Oh Myung Joo. Musical actor and former "Dancing 9" contestant Han Sun Chun will star as Tae Young; he will also be taking part in the show's choreography. Completing the cast is actor Yoon Mi So, comedian Yoo Jae Pil, HashTag's Dajeong, NOIR's Ryu Hoyeon, ELRIS's Hyeseong, Kim Siheon, Kim Daewon, and Kim Yeonkuk.
The upcoming show will be available on V LIVE and LINE LIVE for global fans, viewers should also look forward to surprise appearances by guests. You never know, your favorite idols or actors and actresses might show up!
